New Mexico Casinos

How many casinos are there in New Mexico?  The short answer is - a lot!  Which, of course, only makes sense, since there are so many Native American reservations in New Mexico.  We haven't listed every casino in New Mexico on this page, but we've tried to list the major ones, and will continue to update this page as new casinos open.  All casinos have poker rooms unless noted otherwise.  All of the casinos also have live entertainment offerings.

Albuquerque - Rio Rancho - Bernalillo Area

Albuquerque's the most populous city in New Mexico, and Rio Rancho's the third most populous, so it's no surprise there are a number of casinos to choose from.

Sandia Resort & Casino - The most upscale of the casinos in this area; clean, attractive, and fun.  A short drive north from Albuquerque, off I-25.

Isleta Casino & Resort - A short drive south from Albuquerque, off I-25.

Santa Ana Star Casino - This casino is located in Bernalillo, which is north of Albuquerque and borders Rio Rancho.  It's a bit on the smoky side, and the food offerings could be better, but it's not bad.  Don't confuse this with the similarly named Santa Ana Star Event Center, located in Rio Rancho.

Route 66 Casino  Nice casino, off of I-40 west of Albuquerque.

Santa Fe Area

Buffalo Thunder Resort and Casino -  Very attractive hotel and casino, opened in 2008.

Camel Rock Casino -  Before Buffalo Thunder opened, this was the nicest casino in the Santa Fe area, and it's still pretty darned nice.

Other Casinos

Acoma Sky City Casino - Acoma is located west of Albuquerque and east of Gallup, on I-40.  The casino and hotel are both very attractive.

Inn of the Mountain Gods - This beautiful resort and casino is located just outside of Ruidoso.
